Nothinman is wrong however in the "hardware from dell" comment lol they seem to put together some damn good monitors along with great PDA's and ok mp3 players though i wouldn't touch anything else. inf that basically just add a decscription in device manager which is handy i suppose if you have multiple monitors and for whatever reason need to know which is which in the device manager. As long as you have proper working drivers installed the monitor reports its capabilities (ex what refrsh rates etc it can support) to the computer and most monitor drivers are. Thnk back when you use to use a CRT monitor and just got done installing windows and didn't have proper video drivers installed yet, the screen would be locked in at 60hz refresh rate causing a horrible flickering effect that most, but not all, of us notice, along with lag in video, games, and simple webpage scrolling. The "flicker" is normally experienced because of a low refresh rate on a CRT monitor, though LCD's operate differently, try uping the refreshrate anyway, i have a 2005fpw coming but currently running a 17" Sylvania (KDS Panel?) and no matter hwat videocard i have used, 6600gt pcie, 6600gt agp, 5950ultra agp, 9800xt agp, i have flickering in the bottom right hand corner of the screen with some weird vibrating lines at 60hz refresh rate, bumping it to 70 (can't go over that) fixes the problem and monitor works great.
